What we believe

These answers almost always exist. They sit in a spreadsheet, in free satellite imagery, in a paper register. The problem is not that they are missing: it is that nobody has gathered, cross-referenced and mapped them. That is precisely our work.

Where we stand
In Africa, the potential of geomatics is immense and largely untapped. Cities are growing faster than the plans meant to organise them. Agriculture, health, energy, water and risk management would all gain enormously from being considered spatially.
The tools exist, often free or inexpensive. What is missing is the awareness that they can be used. That is GEOAÏKI's reason for being.

Knowledge transfer, at the heart of our work
The best deliverable of a GIS project is not a map: it is a team able to reproduce it without us. That is why training holds a central place in our activity.
